Cicada Parade-a

<p>The Cicada Parade-a was a career changing art project. 600 plaster cicada sculptures given to local artists, sold to supporters, and donated to schools. Each one decorated with care by local artists with a very loose agreement to display them publicly. As a group we decided that "Power in Numbers" was our theme along side "Emerging from Darkness" as we all did so towards the end of the pandemic. For a lot of us it was the first socializing we did after distancing for so long.</p><p><br></p><p>For pick up and sales, we created a big bright cicada sign hung on the front gate.
